Description of activities
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers of the Gift a Poem 2025 campaign for offering this inspiring opportunity to students across Sri Lanka. Through this meaningful initiative, students were encouraged to express their love, gratitude, and heartfelt thoughts towards their loved ones through poetry — a beautiful and creative outlet that also nurtures emotional intelligence and compassion. Following the clear guidance and insightful instructions provided by the Gift a Poem team, teachers across participating schools successfully implemented the program, embedding its core values into the learning experience. They skillfully guided students to reflect on their relationships, articulate their emotions, and develop strong moral and social values through the art of poetry. According to feedback from the teachers, students participated with great enthusiasm and joy. This campaign has not only deepened students’ emotional awareness but also provided a valuable platform to enhance their creativity and appreciation for literature.
