Description of activities
In connection with the World Poetry Day of March 21, 2024 and the anniversary of the Polish poet Zbigniew Herbert, the UNESCO associated school from Georgia, Tbilisi N47 public school participated in the “Gift a Poem” campaign. The students were very interested in the initiative and wrote their favorite poems on special sheets. They gave poems to each other, as well as to their teachers and relatives. They shared poetry samples of Shakespeare, Pushkin, Sylvia Plath and Georgian poets (Murman Lebanidze, Vazha-Pshavela, Galaktion Tabidze). The primary grade students created the poems themselves in German and also decorated them with illustrations.
